Private bass guitar lessons in Kelowna with Noel Wentworth are available Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM–8:00 PM. Lessons start at $34 per 30-minute lesson and are available for students ages 9 and up.
Noel Wentworth has over 25 years of teaching experience and more than 30 years as a performing guitarist and bass player. He teaches beginner, intermediate, and advanced students, helping them develop technique, timing, musicianship, and confidence.
Lessons can include learning songs, playing with a band, performance preparation, music theory, and Rockschool/RSL Awards exam preparation. Noel tailors each lesson to the student’s goals and musical interests.

Meet Your Bass Teacher
Noel Wentworth has been teaching guitar, bass, and ukulele for over 25 years. He is a graduate of Selkirk College's Music Performance program and has spent decades performing as both a guitarist and bass player. Noel also holds a Licentiate in Music Education (with Distinction) through RSL Awards. In addition, he has earned a Grade 7 Rockschool Bass qualification, which is equivalent to RCM Grade 9. This first-hand experience allows him to confidently prepare students for Rockschool examinations.
As the British Columbia representative for RSL Awards, Noel stays up to date with modern teaching methods, curriculum, and examination standards. As a result, students benefit from current teaching practices and expert guidance throughout their musical journey. Every lesson combines structured skill development with the music students enjoy, helping them stay motivated while making steady progress toward their goals.

In addition, students develop the listening, timing, and ensemble skills needed to rehearse with other musicians. These skills help students rehearse with other musicians, perform with confidence, and understand what it takes to become a successful bass player.
